Get up and running with PARKINMX in just a few minutes. This guide will walk you through downloading the app, creating your account, and making your first parking reservation.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:
  • A smartphone (iOS 13+ or Android 8+) or web browser
  • A valid email address
  • A credit or debit card for payments
  • Your vehicle’s license plate number
PARKINMX is available on iOS, Android, and Web. Choose the platform that works best for you!

Step-by-step guide

Download PARKINMX

Get the app for your platform:
Download from the App Store:

Requirements: iOS 13.0 or later, compatible with iPhone and iPad
On mobile, you’ll be prompted to enable notifications. We recommend allowing them to receive reservation reminders and important updates.

Create your account

Launch the app and tap “Registrarse” (Sign Up):
  1. Enter your information:
    • First name and last name
    • Email address
    • Username (unique identifier)
    • Password (minimum 6 characters)
  2. Verify your email:
    • Check your inbox for a verification email
    • Click the verification link
    • Return to the app to continue

Choose a strong password and keep your credentials secure. Your account contains payment information and reservation history.

Set up biometric authentication (optional)

For faster, more secure access, enable Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint authentication:
  1. Go to PerfilSeguridad
  2. Toggle “Usar Face ID” or “Usar Huella Digital”
  3. Follow the system prompts to authenticate
Once enabled, you can log in instantly without typing your password.
Biometric data is stored securely on your device and never transmitted to our servers.

Add your first vehicle

Navigate to Mi Garaje (My Garage) from the side menu:
  1. Tap the yellow + button (floating action button)
  2. Fill in the vehicle form:
    • License Plate (required): Your vehicle’s registration number
    • Alias (required): A friendly name like “My Honda” or “Work Car”
    • Brand (required): e.g., “Toyota”, “Honda”, “Ford”
    • Model (optional): e.g., “Camry”, “Civic”, “F-150”
    • Color (optional): e.g., “Blue”, “Red”, “Silver”
  3. Tap “Guardar” (Save)

You can add multiple vehicles and switch between them when making reservations. Great for families or managing personal and work vehicles!

Add funds to your wallet

Before making a reservation, you need to load your digital wallet:
  1. Go to Mi CarteraRecargar Saldo (Recharge Balance)
  2. Enter the amount you want to add (minimum $30 MXN)
  3. Review the credit conversion:
    • Exchange rate: $1 MXN = 6 credits
    • Bonus: +20 credits for recharges ≥100 credits
  4. Tap “Recargar” and complete payment via Mercado Pago
Recharge $50 MXN:
  • Base credits: 50 × 6 = 300 credits
  • Bonus (≥100 credits): +20 credits
  • Total: 320 credits
Recharge $20 MXN:
  • Base credits: 20 × 6 = 120 credits
  • No bonus (below threshold)
  • Total: 120 credits
The minimum balance required to make a reservation is 120 credits (equivalent to $20 MXN).

Make your first reservation

Now you’re ready to reserve a parking spot!
  1. Navigate to Reservar (Reserve) from the home screen or menu
  2. Select your date and time:
    • Choose your arrival date
    • Pick your time slot (operating hours: 7 AM - 11 PM)
  3. Choose your parking spot:
    • View the interactive map showing 10 spots (1-10)
    • Green spots are available
    • Red spots are occupied
    • Yellow is your selection
    • Tap a green spot to select it
  4. Select your vehicle:
    • Choose from your registered vehicles
    • The selected vehicle’s plate will appear on your ticket
  5. Verify and confirm:
    • Enter your 4-digit security PIN
    • Enter the 6-digit email verification code (sent to your inbox)
    • Review reservation details and cost (120 credits deducted)
    • Tap “Confirmar Reservación”
  6. Receive your QR ticket:
    • Your reservation is confirmed instantly
    • A QR code ticket is generated
    • You’ll receive a push notification 15 minutes before your arrival time
You can edit or cancel your reservation up to 1 hour before the scheduled time without penalty. Cancellations within 1 hour incur a 100 credit fee.

Common questions

When you arrive, open the PARKINMX app and tap on your active reservation to display your QR code. Hold your phone up to the scanner at the entrance gate. The system will verify your reservation and grant access.When exiting, scan your QR code again at the exit gate. Make sure to exit before your reservation time expires to avoid additional charges.
Yes! Tap the share icon on your reservation details screen to send your QR ticket via email, SMS, or messaging apps. The recipient can use your QR code to access the parking spot, but make sure they’re driving the vehicle registered in your reservation.
Your reservation is valid for the time slot you booked. If you arrive late, your spot remains reserved until the end time. If you need to leave early, you can simply scan your QR code and exit - no additional action needed.For significant delays or no-shows, penalties may apply. Check your reservation details for specific terms.
  • Vehicles: Go to Mi Garaje → tap the + button → fill in vehicle details
  • Payment methods: Go to Mi CarteraTarjetas“Agregar Tarjeta”
You can add unlimited vehicles and up to 5 payment cards per account.
Yes! All payment processing is handled through Mercado Pago, a certified PCI-DSS Level 1 payment gateway. We never store your full card details on our servers. Card data is encrypted and tokenized for maximum security.Additionally, all transactions require two-factor authentication (PIN + email verification) for added protection.
