User Profiles - AniDojo

Overview

Your AniDojo profile is your personal anime hub, showcasing your watching history, reviews, statistics, and favorites. Share it with the community or keep it private—you’re in control.

Profile data syncs across devices using Supabase, so your stats and lists are always up-to-date.

Display name and username
Avatar and cover image
Member since date
Location (optional)
Social links (Twitter, Discord, Website)
Follow/Edit Profile buttons

Four key metrics displayed prominently:

Total Anime Watched: 247
Episodes Watched: 3,847  
Days Watched: 64.1
Mean Score: 7.8/10

Days watched is calculated automatically: (episodes × 24 minutes) / 1,440 minutes per day

Recent Activity

Live feed showing your latest actions:

Anime added to lists
Episodes marked as watched
Reviews posted
Ratings given
Status changes (started, completed)

Each activity shows the anime cover, title, and timestamp.

Anime Lists Tab

View and manage your entire anime collection:

Status Filters

Switch between list categories:

All - Complete collection
Watching - Currently watching
Completed - Finished watching
On Hold - Temporarily paused
Dropped - Discontinued
Plan to Watch - Watchlist

Each tab shows a count badge.

View Modes

Grid View: Card layout with cover art, title, status badge, rating, and episode progress. Table View: Detailed spreadsheet with columns:

Charts & Visualizations

Score Distribution: Bar chart showing how many anime you’ve rated at each score level (1-10).

Genre data is pulled from your anime list entries and aggregated automatically.

Click “Edit” to manage your favorites.

Customization

Edit Profile

Click “Edit Profile” to update:

Display Name: Your public display name
Username: Unique identifier (used in profile URL)
Bio: Short description about yourself and anime preferences
Location: City/country (optional)
Avatar: Profile picture (upload or URL)
Cover Image: Banner background (recommended: 1200×300px)

Connect your profiles:

Twitter: @username
Discord: username#1234
Website: Personal site or blog URL

Social links appear as icons on your profile header and are clickable by visitors.

Privacy Settings

Control who can see your profile:

Public: Anyone can view
Private: Only you can view
Friends Only: Coming soon

Activity Timeline

Your profile automatically tracks:

Profile Stats Calculation

Total Anime

Count of unique anime across all lists (excluding duplicates).

Episodes Watched

Sum of episodesWatched from all anime entries.

Days Watched

Calculated as: (episodes × 24 minutes) / 1,440 minutes per day

Mean Score

Average of all anime ratings (1-10 scale), excluding unrated anime.

Standard deviation is also calculated to show rating consistency.

Earn badges for achievements:

Early Adopter: Joined during beta
Prolific Reviewer: 50+ published reviews
Completionist: 100+ completed anime
Binge Watcher: 500+ episodes in one month
Genre Explorer: Watched anime from 20+ genres

Profile data is stored securely in Supabase with row-level security policies. Only you can edit your profile.
