Upgrading Your Plan
Upgrade at any time with immediate access:Upgrade Process
- Click “Upgrade Plan” button
- Select your desired tier
- Choose billing frequency (monthly/annual)
- Enter payment information
- Confirm upgrade
Prorated Billing
When upgrading mid-cycle:- Credit applied for unused time on current plan
- Charged prorated amount for new plan
- New billing cycle starts immediately
- Access to new features is instant
- Receive credit for remaining 15 days of Free plan
- Pay prorated Standard plan cost for 15 days
- Next full billing on the original renewal date
Downgrading Your Plan
Downgrade to a lower tier:Downgrade Process
- Navigate to subscription settings
- Click “Change Plan”
- Select lower tier
- Review feature changes
- Confirm downgrade
Downgrade Timing
- Takes effect at the end of current billing period
- Retain current plan features until renewal
- No immediate charge or refund
- Data retention adjusts to new plan limits
When downgrading, ensure your usage fits within the new plan’s limits. Excess forms or data may need to be removed before the downgrade processes.
Invoice History
View and download all past invoices:Invoice List
The billing history section displays:- Invoice number - Unique identifier for each invoice
- Date - When the invoice was generated
- Amount - Total charged (in your local currency)
- Status - Paid, Pending, or Failed
- Download - PDF download button
- View online - Link to hosted invoice page
Invoice Details
Each invoice includes:- Billing period covered
- Plan type and pricing
- Prorated adjustments (if applicable)
- Taxes and fees
- Payment method used
- Transaction ID
Downloading Invoices
- Locate the invoice in your history
- Click “Download PDF” button
- Invoice downloads immediately
- File named:
mantlz-invoice-{number}.pdf
Empty Invoice History
If you’re on the Free plan:- “No invoices found” message appears
- Explanation that Free plan has no billing
- Upgrade prompt to start paid subscription

Adding a Payment Method
- Click “Add Payment Method”
- Enter card details securely (processed by Stripe)
- Set as default payment method
- Verify with small test charge (refunded immediately)
Updating Payment Method
- Navigate to payment methods section
- Click “Update” on existing method
- Enter new card information
- Save changes
- Previous method removed automatically
Security
All payment processing is handled by Stripe:- PCI DSS compliant
- End-to-end encryption
- No card details stored on Mantlz servers
- 3D Secure authentication supported
- Fraud detection and prevention
Failed Payments
If a payment fails:Automatic Retry
- First retry: 3 days after failure
- Second retry: 5 days after failure
- Third retry: 7 days after failure
- Account suspension: 10 days after failure
Notifications
You’ll receive emails:- Immediately when payment fails
- Before each retry attempt
- Warning before account suspension
- Confirmation when payment succeeds
Updating Failed Payment
- Log in to your dashboard
- Banner notification appears
- Click “Update Payment Method”
- Enter new card details
- Click “Retry Payment Now”
If your account is suspended due to failed payment, you’ll lose access to premium features but your data remains safe. Update your payment method to restore access immediately.
Canceling Your Subscription
Cancel at any time with no penalties:Cancellation Process
- Navigate to billing settings
- Click “Cancel Subscription”
- Select cancellation reason (optional feedback)
- Confirm cancellation
- Receive confirmation email
After Cancellation
- Retain paid plan access until end of billing period
- Automatically downgrade to Free plan on renewal date
- All forms and data remain accessible
- Premium features become unavailable after period ends
- Can reactivate subscription anytime
Data Retention After Cancellation
- Forms - All forms remain active
- Submissions - Full history retained for 90 days
- Analytics - Visible for 30 days
- Campaigns - History saved but no new sends
- Files - Uploaded files retained for 60 days
Tax Information
Manage tax details for invoices:Adding Tax ID
- Navigate to billing settings
- Click “Add Tax Information”
- Enter VAT/GST number
- Select country/region
- Save tax details
Automatic Tax Calculation
Mantlz automatically:- Calculates applicable sales tax
- Applies VAT for EU customers
- Handles GST for applicable regions
- Updates tax rates when regulations change

Update who receives billing notifications:- Navigate to billing settings
- Click “Billing Contact”
- Enter email address for invoices
- Optionally add company name and address
- Save changes
- Monthly/annual invoices
- Payment confirmations
- Failed payment alerts

Yes! Navigate to your subscription settings and select “Switch to Annual Billing”. You’ll receive a prorated credit for your current monthly plan and be charged the annual rate.

If you exceed your monthly submission limit, new submissions will still be accepted but you’ll receive a notification to upgrade. Forms will not be disabled.
