Manual flight search
TripLoom offers flexible search modes for one-way, round-trip, and multi-city itineraries.One-way search
Enter route details
- From - Type and select your departure airport from the dropdown
- To - Type and select your destination airport
- Departure date - Choose your travel date (min: today)
- Passengers - Select 1-5 adult passengers
You must select airports from the dropdown suggestions. Entering free text without selection will show an error: “Please select an origin and destination from the dropdown.”
Round-trip search
Round-trip mode uses a two-step flow to find the best combinations.Select round trip
Click Round trip and enter route details:
- From/To airports
- Outbound date
- Return date (must be same day or after outbound)
- Passengers
Select outbound flight
Click on a row to select it. The row highlights and the Return tab becomes active.
View return flights
Switch to the Return tab. TripLoom automatically loads return options that pair with your selected outbound flight.
Multi-city search
For complex itineraries with multiple destinations:- Click Multi city in the search type selector
- Each leg shows three fields:
- From - Departure airport
- To - Arrival airport
- Date - Travel date
- Click + Add leg to add up to 6 segments
- Click the trash icon to remove a leg (minimum 1 required)
- Set Passengers and click Search flights
Sort and filter results
Refine search results using the filters bar:Sort options
Click column headers to sort:- Route - Origin → Destination alphabetically
- Date - Chronological departure date
- Departure - Departure time (earliest to latest)
- Arrival - Arrival time
- Duration - Flight duration (shortest to longest)
- Stops - Number of stops (fewest first)
- Cost - Price (lowest to highest)
- Airline - Carrier name alphabetically
Filter options
Airline filter- Dropdown shows all carriers in current results
- Select an airline to show only their flights
- Choose “All” to clear the filter
- Enter a maximum price amount
- Results update automatically to show only flights at or below that price
- Leave blank for no price limit
View flight details
Each search result row displays:- Route - YYZ → LHR format
- Date - Departure date
- Departure - Local departure time
- Arrival - Local arrival time
- Duration - Total flight time (e.g., “7h 20m”)
- Stops - “Nonstop”, “1 stop”, or “2 stops”
- Cost - Total price with currency (e.g., “850 CAD”)
- Airline - Carrier name with logo
Expand for stop details
Flights with layovers show a chevron icon. Click to expand and view:- Stop airport codes
- Layover duration at each stop
Save flight selections
Track your preferred flight options:Save the flight
Click Save Flight (or Save Selection for round-trip). A confirmation message appears.
Manage saved flights
The Saved Flights card shows all flights you’ve bookmarked:- Source - “outbound”, “inbound”, or search type
- Route - Full route with airports
- Date - Departure date
- Departure/Arrival - Local times
- Duration - Flight time
- Stops - Layover count and details
- Airline - Carrier name
- Cost - Total price
- Edit - Update the departure date
- Delete - Remove from saved flights
- Book now - Opens booking URL in new tab (when available)
Saved flights persist across sessions and sync to your account. You can compare multiple options before making your final booking.
Flight number lookup
If you already booked a flight, use the lookup tool to track details:Lookup a flight
Enter flight details
In the Inbound Flight Lookup card:
- Flight number - Enter airline code + number (e.g., “AC123”)
- Departure date - Select the departure date
Review auto-filled data
The system displays:
- Airline name and logo
- Route (departure → arrival airports with full names)
- Local departure and arrival times
- Timezone information
- Flight duration
- Number of stops
- Terminal and gate (when available)
Edit if needed
Click Edit to manually adjust any field:
- Airline, route codes, times, duration
- Terminal/gate information
- Number of stops
- Cost (optional, in USD)
- Stop details (airport and layover duration)
Add stop details
For flights with layovers:- In edit mode, scroll to Stop Details and Layovers
- Click + Add stop for each layover
- Enter:
- Stop airport - Layover airport code
- Layover - Duration (e.g., “1h 20m”)
- Click the trash icon to remove a stop entry
Booking integration
When a saved flight includes a booking URL:- The Book now button appears in the Saved Flights card
- Click to open the airline or booking site in a new tab
- Complete your purchase on the external site
- Return to TripLoom to update your flight status or add confirmation details
