Quick Start Guide

Get your first AI-generated clip up and running in under 5 minutes. This guide will walk you through account creation, video upload, and your first clip generation.

What You’ll Accomplish

By the end of this guide, you will:
  • Create a ClypAI account
  • Upload your first video
  • Generate AI-powered clips
  • Export and publish to social media

Create Your Account

Visit clypai.com and sign up using one of these methods:
  1. Click Get Started
  2. Enter your email and create a password
  3. Verify your email address
  4. Complete your profile
Upon signup, ClypAI automatically creates a personal organization for you.

Upload Your First Video

Navigate to Projects > Create New Project
  1. Name your project (e.g., “My Podcast Clips”)
  2. Upload your video:
    • Drag and drop your file
    • Or paste a YouTube/Vimeo URL
    • Supported formats: MP4, MOV, AVI, WEBM
    • Max size: 5GB (Free), 50GB (Pro)
  3. Configure settings (optional):
    • Target platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X)
    • Preferred clip length (15s, 30s, 60s, or custom)
    • Language for captions
  4. Click Upload and Process
Processing time depends on video length. A 1-hour video typically takes 3-5 minutes to analyze.

Generate AI Clips

Once processing completes, ClypAI’s AI will:
  1. Identify hooks and viral moments
    • Analyze audio peaks, visual changes, and speech patterns
    • Detect engaging story openings, cliffhangers, and reactions
    • Score each moment from 0-100 for viral potential
  2. Create clip suggestions
    • View all suggested clips in the Clips tab
    • Each clip shows:
      • Preview thumbnail
      • Duration and timestamp
      • Hook score and type
      • Suggested platforms
  3. Review and select clips
    • Click any clip to preview
    • Clips include auto-generated captions
    • Smart reframing applied for vertical formats
Start with clips scored 80+ for the highest viral potential.

Customize Your Clip

Click Edit on any clip to customize:
  • Adjust start/end points
  • Fine-tune to the exact moment
  • Preview changes in real-time
Click Save Changes when done.

Export and Publish

Ready to share your clip?
  1. Click Publish on your clip
  2. Select connected platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X)
  3. Add caption/description
  4. Include hashtags
  5. Schedule or post immediately
  6. Click Publish
Connect your social accounts in Settings > Connections first.
Use the Queue feature to schedule multiple clips for optimal posting times.

Common Issues

Processing takes longer than expected?
  • Large files (>2GB) may take 10-15 minutes
  • Check the Workers dashboard for status
  • You’ll receive an email when processing completes
Can’t connect social accounts?
  • Instagram requires a Business or Creator account
  • TikTok may require developer approval
