Auto-recharge monitors your wallet balances and automatically purchases more Credits, USDC, or Tokens when a balance drops below a threshold you set. This prevents your AI services from being interrupted due to an empty wallet. Auto-recharge is configured per asset per wallet. You set an independent threshold and recharge amount for each asset type (Credits, USDC, Tokens) in each wallet.

How auto-recharge works

When auto-recharge is enabled for an asset:
  1. The system continuously monitors the balance of that asset in the wallet.
  2. When the balance falls below the minimum balance threshold you configure, a recharge is triggered.
  3. The system charges the recharge amount (in USD) to your saved Stripe payment method.
  4. The purchased asset is credited to your wallet at the standard conversion rate.
A 10-minute cooldown period applies between recharge events to prevent runaway charges from repeated rapid triggers.
Auto-recharge currently supports the following payment provider: Stripe. You must have a saved Stripe payment method on file before recharges can trigger successfully.

Setting up auto-recharge

Navigate to Wallets

Select Wallets from the sidebar to open the wallets list.

Open a wallet

Click the wallet you want to configure auto-recharge for. This opens the wallet detail page.

Open an asset

Click the asset card (for example, Credits or USDC) for which you want to configure auto-recharge. The Asset Detail Modal opens.

Access auto-recharge settings

In the asset detail modal, click Auto-Recharge or navigate to the auto-recharge settings panel. You can also reach this from the main Wallets page header by clicking Auto-Recharge.

Enable auto-recharge

Toggle the Enable Auto-Recharge switch to on.

Set the minimum balance threshold

Enter the minimum balance in asset units. When your balance drops below this value, a recharge triggers automatically.Default thresholds by asset type:

Set the recharge amount

Enter the USD amount to charge when a recharge triggers. This amount is charged to your Stripe payment method and converted to the selected asset.
  • Minimum recharge: $0.01 USD
  • Maximum recharge: $500.00 USD
  • Default recharge: $50.00 USD
The configuration form shows a live preview of how many asset units you will receive for the configured USD amount.

Save settings

Click Save. Auto-recharge becomes active immediately for that asset.

Conversion rates

When auto-recharge triggers, the USD amount is converted to the target asset at the following rates:

Disabling auto-recharge

To disable auto-recharge for a specific asset:
  1. Open the wallet and navigate to the asset’s auto-recharge settings.
  2. Toggle the Enable Auto-Recharge switch to off.
  3. Click Save.
Disabling auto-recharge for one asset does not affect other assets in the same wallet or other wallets.

Supported payment methods

Auto-recharge uses Stripe as the payment provider. The recharge charge is applied to the Stripe payment method saved to your organization’s billing account. To update your saved payment method:
  1. Go to Organization Settings → Billing.
  2. Click Manage Payment Method to open the Stripe billing portal.
  3. Add or update your card in the Stripe portal.
If a recharge attempt fails (for example, due to an expired card or insufficient funds), the system records a failure. After 3 consecutive failures, auto-recharge is automatically disabled for that asset and you will need to re-enable it manually after resolving the payment issue.

Failure handling

The system tracks consecutive auto-recharge failures per asset. Failure thresholds are:

When auto-recharge is auto-disabled, a status message is shown in the auto-recharge settings panel. Fix your payment method in the Stripe portal, then re-enable auto-recharge.

Auto-recharge history

Every auto-recharge event creates a transaction record in the wallet’s transaction history. To view past recharges:
  1. Navigate to Wallets and open the wallet.
  2. Select the Transactions tab.
  3. Filter by transaction type or description to find auto-recharge events.
The auto-recharge configuration panel also shows Last Triggered — the timestamp of the most recent successful recharge — and Trigger Count — the total number of times auto-recharge has fired for that asset.
Set your minimum balance threshold high enough to give yourself a buffer. For example, if a typical AI task costs 500 Credits, setting a threshold of 2,000 Credits ensures a recharge triggers well before you run out.
