Projects are the primary organizational unit in TrayLinx. Every tool you build, dataset you manage, and API key you issue lives inside a project. Assets are the digital items — AI tools, datasets, media, and more — that belong to a project.

What is a project?

A project is a distinct workspace within your organization. It has its own members, API keys, LLM provider credentials, assets, and usage metrics. Projects let you isolate workloads, share resources with specific teammates, and track costs independently.

Creating a project

1

Navigate to Projects

Select Projects from the sidebar to open the projects list.
2

Click Create Project

Click the Create Project button.
3

Fill in project details

Enter a name and optionally a description for the project.
4

Configure API keys and LLM credentials

Add any necessary API keys and LLM provider credentials during setup, or add them later from the project settings. These credentials let the project’s tools connect to external AI providers.
5

Save

Confirm creation. TrayLinx provisions the project and takes you to the project dashboard.

Project dashboard overview

The project dashboard (Overview tab) gives you a live view of your project’s health and resources. Key sections include:

Live metrics

Total cost, total requests, and a historical graph of activity over time.

API keys

A summary of issued project API keys and a shortcut to the keys settings page.

LLM credentials

Linked LLM provider API keys for model access.

Project members

Member count and a link to the members management page.

Sentinel Passes

Security pass count associated with the project.

Wallet

Project wallet balance and credits. Click to navigate to the wallet page.
The dashboard also shows quick-access cards for Notebooks, AI Studio, and Assets so you can jump directly to those areas of the project.

Managing project members

Project Owners and Admins can invite teammates to collaborate.
1

Open project settings

Inside your project, click the Settings tab.
2

Go to Members

Select Members from the settings navigation.
3

Invite a member

Enter the email address of the person you want to invite and assign them a role. Members can access project resources according to their role permissions.

Asset browser and filtering

Assets are digital items you can use across your project: AI tools, datasets, applications, media files, DeFi tools, and security passes. Access the asset browser from:
  • The Assets tab inside a project
  • The Plus (+) attachment menu in the Personal Assistant
Asset categories
CategoryTypes included
AI & AutomationAI agents, MCP servers, prompt templates, ML models
DatasetTraining and reference datasets
ApplicationApps, documents, templates, links
MediaImages, video, audio
DeFi & FinanceDeFi tools, tokens
Security & IdentityID passes, Sentinel Passes
Use the category filter chips at the top of the asset browser to narrow the list. You can also search by name.

Dataset management

Datasets are stored as assets of type dataset. Create and manage them from the Assets tab of your project. You can generate dataset content using the AI-assisted dataset generator, which uses your project’s active LLM to produce structured data based on a knowledge text and a target number of items.

Project API key management

Each project issues its own API keys used to authenticate requests from tools and integrations.
1

Navigate to API keys

Inside your project, go to SettingsAPI Keys.
2

Create a key

Click Create API Key. Give the key a name so you can identify it later.
3

Copy and store the key

Copy the secret key immediately. It will not be shown again in full after you leave this screen.
Project secret keys grant full access to project resources. Store them securely and rotate them if they are exposed.

Sentinel Pass integration

Sentinel Passes are security assets that represent verified identities or access credentials. They appear in the project dashboard’s Sentinel Passes card and can be created from the Assets tab by selecting the Security & Identity asset type. Passes are managed through TrayLinx’s security asset pipeline and can be attached to projects to control access to specific resources.

Transfer projects between organizations

Project ownership is tied to an organization. To move a project, contact your organization admin. Transfers are managed at the organization level and may require re-linking API keys and credentials once the project is in its new organization context.
