Overview

MLB.TheOhtani.com provides comprehensive game schedule views that let you track upcoming, live, and completed games. The schedule feature offers both weekly calendar views and detailed daily breakdowns.

Weekly Schedule

The weekly schedule view displays all games for a 7-day period in an accordion-style layout.

Key Features

Use the week picker to navigate between weeks. The current week is selected by default, and you can jump to any date using the date picker control.
When viewing the current week, the schedule automatically refreshes every 3 minutes to show live game updates and score changes.
Filter schedules by sport using the sport selector. The default view shows MLB games, but other baseball leagues may be available.
Games featuring your favorite teams appear first in each day’s listing, making it easy to track the teams you care about most.

Daily Game Cards

Each day in the weekly view includes:
  • Date header with day of week, month, and day number
  • “Today” badge for the current date (auto-expanded by default)
  • Game count indicator
  • Grid of game cards showing:
    • Team names and logos
    • Current scores (for live/final games)
    • Game status and time
    • Inning information (for live games)
    • Probable pitchers (for upcoming games)
Click on any game card to view detailed play-by-play information, or click the date header to jump to the daily schedule view for that specific date.

Daily Schedule

The daily schedule provides a focused view of all games on a specific date, organized by game status.

Game Status Sections

Games are automatically grouped into three categories:
1

Live Games

Currently in-progress games appear first with real-time scores, inning information, and live play updates.
2

Preview Games

Upcoming games show scheduled start times and probable starting pitchers.
3

Final Games

Completed games display final scores and any special flags (perfect games, no-hitters, etc.).

Season Progress

For regular season game days, the daily schedule includes a season progress indicator showing:
  • Games completed vs. total games in the season
  • Visual progress bar
  • Current date within the season timeline
The daily schedule includes:
  • Date Picker: Jump to any specific date in the MLB schedule
  • Sport Selector: Filter by league/sport
  • Breadcrumbs: Navigate back to weekly view or other dates

Game Cards

Both views use interactive game cards that display:

Preview State

  • Scheduled game time
  • Probable starting pitchers with handedness indicators
  • Venue information
  • Series information (e.g., “Game 2 of 3”)

Live State

  • Real-time score updates
  • Current inning and outs
  • Balls/strikes/outs count
  • Base runners visualization
  • Current batter and pitcher matchup
  • Recent play descriptions
  • Live details toggle for expanded information

Final State

  • Final scores
  • Line score showing runs per inning
  • Special game indicators:
    • Perfect games
    • No-hitters
    • Other notable achievements
Games update automatically when live. You don’t need to refresh the page to see score changes.

Spoiler Prevention

If you’ve enabled spoiler prevention for specific teams, game details will be hidden:
  • Scores are obscured
  • Play-by-play is hidden
  • Win probability charts don’t display
  • Only basic game status information is shown
This lets you watch replays without knowing the outcome.

Season Information

Both schedule views include season metadata at the bottom:
  • Current season year
  • Season type (Regular Season, Postseason, etc.)
  • Season start and end dates
  • All-Star Game information
