Show appreciation for posts in the CricTalk community by liking them.How to Like a Post
- Find a post you want to like on your home feed or in a user’s profile
- Tap the heart icon below the post content
- The heart will turn red to indicate you’ve liked the post
- The like count will increment by one
Unliking a Post
Changed your mind? You can remove your like:- Tap the red heart icon on a post you’ve already liked
- The heart will turn gray/outlined to indicate the like has been removed
- The like count will decrease by one
Like Statistics
Each post displays its total number of likes:- “1 Like” for a single like
- “X Likes” for multiple likes (e.g., “15 Likes”)
Your likes are visible to all users. When you like a post, it contributes to the post’s overall engagement and visibility in the community.
Commenting on Posts
Join the conversation by adding your thoughts to any post.Adding a Comment
Comment Display
Comments show:- Author avatar: First letter of the commenter’s username
- Author name: The commenter’s username
- Comment content: The text of the comment
- Timestamp: When the comment was posted (formatted as date and time)
Viewing Comments
To see all comments on a post:- Tap the chat bubble icon or anywhere on the post
- Scroll through the comment section
- The post header shows total comment count (e.g., “5 Comments”)
Comments are displayed in chronological order, with the newest comments appearing at the top or bottom depending on the view.
Editing Your Comments
Made a mistake? Edit your comments after posting them.Edit Process
Locate your comment
Find the comment you want to edit. Only comments you authored will have edit options.
You can only edit your own comments. The edit and delete icons only appear on comments you’ve authored.

Participating in Chat Rooms

Discover active and upcoming match rooms:- Browse the Rooms section from your home screen
- View room cards showing:
- Team matchups (e.g., “India vs Australia”)
- Match status badge (Live, Upcoming, or Finished)
- Team abbreviations in circular badges
Room Status
Rooms have three possible statuses:- Live
- Upcoming
- Finished
Green badge: The match is currently in progress
- You can send and receive messages in real-time
- Join the room to participate in live discussions
- Full messaging capabilities are enabled

View room details
Review the match information by tapping the info icon (i) in the top-right corner.
Sending Messages in Rooms
Contribute to live match discussions:Messages can only be sent when the room status is “Live”. For upcoming or finished matches, the message input is disabled.
Real-Time Updates
Room messages update automatically:- New messages appear instantly without refreshing
- Message edits reflect in real-time
- Deleted messages are removed from view immediately
- No need to manually refresh to see latest activity

Remove messages from the room chat:- Find your message in the chat thread
- Tap the trash icon next to your message
- Confirm the deletion
Room Information
Access detailed room information:- Tap the info icon (i) in the room header
- View details such as:
- Match teams and format
- Start and end times
- Room creator information
- Participant count

If you created a room, you’ll see additional options:- Settings icon: Access room management
- Room settings: Configure room details, timing, and status
- Delete room: Remove the room if needed (creator only)

Access rooms you’ve joined or created:- Go to your Profile
- Tap the Rooms tab
- Browse your room history and active rooms
Room Participation Tracking
Your room activity contributes to your statistics:- Messages sent are counted in your profile stats
- View total message count in the Stats tab
- Track your engagement across all rooms
Your message count across all rooms is displayed in your profile’s Stats tab, formatted for easy reading (e.g., “1,234 messages sent”).

View counts are public and visible to all users alongside likes and comments.

- Replies in rooms: Stay updated on active conversations
