Overview

Research Google Cloud services and architecture patterns using the Google Developer Knowledge MCP server to match your project requirements to GCP services, Architecture Framework guidance, Security Command Center controls, and UK Government compliance.
This command delegates to the arckit-gcp-research agent which runs autonomously, making 15-30+ MCP calls to gather authoritative Google Cloud documentation.

When to Use

Use /arckit.gcp-research when:
  • Evaluating Google Cloud services for your requirements
  • Need authoritative GCP Architecture Framework guidance
  • Comparing GCP to AWS/Azure for multi-cloud decisions
  • Validating GCP services against UK Government compliance (G-Cloud)
Prerequisites: Requirements document (/arckit.requirements)

Usage

/arckit.gcp-research BigQuery analytics for financial reporting
/arckit.gcp-research GKE Autopilot for containerized workloads
/arckit.gcp-research Cloud Run serverless API platform

What It Creates

File: projects/{project}/ARC-{PID}-RSCH-GCP-v1.0.md Sections:
  • Executive Summary with recommended GCP services
  • Requirements mapping (each FR/NFR → GCP service)
  • Service descriptions with Architecture Framework alignment
  • Security Command Center control mapping
  • UK Government compliance (G-Cloud, eu-west2 London region, NCSC)
  • Cost estimation (3-year TCO)
  • Build vs Buy recommendations

Google Developer Knowledge MCP

The command uses these MCP tools:
