The new Mintlify Agent helps you write and maintain documentation using AI. Share context like PRs, Slack threads, or links to create a draft with the agent.
Introducing the Mintlify Agent, which helps you write and maintain documentation using AI.
Documentation debt piles up because there are so many fixes that you want to get to later, but you never have the chance.
The agent slashes that backlog by making writing docs as easy as a single prompt. It'll do the heavy lifting of combing through context, deciding where it goes in the navigation, and leveraging writing best practices so that all you have to do is hit publish.
How it works
Today, you can configure the agent in Slack or via API, with more entry points coming soon.
It automatically understands your documentation, the Mintlify schema, and code. You can share additional context like external links, GitHub repos, or Slack threads to improve the agent’s output.
The agent is also conversational, so you can iterate until you’re satisfied.
Here's a demo of the agent in action:
What can you do with the agent
A few examples in action:
- Turn support into self-serve. After explaining an issue to a customer, link that Slack thread as context and generate a clarification to your docs to prevent future confusion.
- Democratize who can make updates. If anyone spots an issue, such as a code error or unclear writing, they can update it directly instead of opening yet another ticket.
- Update mentions across your docs. If you changed pricing or naming of a feature, find and change all mentions across your docs instead of searching through pages manually.
- Generate changelogs. Feed a range of pull requests to quickly draft a summary.
With the agent, all you need is an idea of what needs to change, and you can knock out the update immediately.
Try out the agent today and let us know what you think!

We Replaced Our Internal Wiki With a Slack Bot. You Should Too.
Mintlify tripled in size and institutional knowledge was dying in Slack threads. So we built a KB agent that lives in Slack, reads conversations, and turns them into version-controlled documentation without anyone leaving the tools they already use.
