Your First Bypass

This guide will walk you through using FkNeo for the first time, from starting an exam to leveraging the key bypass features.

Verify Extension is Active

Before starting your exam, make sure FkNeo is installed and active:
  1. Look for the FkNeo icon in your browser toolbar
  2. The extension should show as enabled (not grayed out)
  3. If you’re in the trial period or have activated your license, you’re ready to go
FkNeo works automatically on supported platforms - you don’t need to click or configure anything for basic bypass features.

Configure Pre-Test Settings (Optional)

Before you start the exam, you can configure optional settings:Change IP Address
  • Press Shift + P to set a custom IP address
  • This makes it appear as if you’re connecting from a different location
Spoof OS to Linux
  • Press Shift + O to make your system appear as Linux
  • Useful if the platform has different requirements for different operating systems
These settings must be configured before starting the test. They won’t work once the exam has begun.

Bypass Access Code (If Needed)

If your exam requires an access code that you don’t have:
  1. Navigate to the access code entry screen
  2. Press Shift + A to bypass the access code requirement
  3. The exam should start without requiring the code
This feature allows you to start tests without waiting for access codes to be distributed.

Start the Exam

Navigate to your exam platform (imneo/examly-based) and start the test as you normally would.What FkNeo automatically bypasses:
  • NeoExamShield installation prompts
  • Neo-Browser installation requirements
  • Neo-checker application requirements
  • Full screen recording demands
  • Tab switching restrictions
  • Copy/paste blocking
You can now work freely without these restrictions!

Control Screen Recording

When the platform requests screen recording:
  1. Instead of sharing your entire screen, you can select a specific tab or window
  2. You can stop screen sharing at any time - FkNeo bypasses the recording requirements
Your privacy is protected. The platform won’t detect that you’ve stopped sharing or that you’re only sharing a specific window.

Use Tab Switching & Copy/Paste

With FkNeo active, you can:
  • Switch tabs freely - Open documentation, StackOverflow, or any resource you need
  • Copy and paste - Copy code snippets, paste solutions, work efficiently
  • Open multiple windows - Organize your workspace however you prefer
None of these actions will trigger warnings or be detected by the exam platform.

These shortcuts rely on solutions being available in the test backend. If the instructor hasn’t uploaded solutions, these features won’t work.

Common Scenarios

Scenario 1: Coding Assessment

You’re taking a coding test and need to reference documentation:
  1. Start the exam with FkNeo active
  2. Open a new tab and search for what you need
  3. Copy the relevant code
  4. Switch back to the exam tab and paste your solution
  5. Use Alt + Ctrl + B to validate against all test cases

Scenario 2: MCQ Quiz

You’re taking a multiple-choice quiz:
  1. Start the quiz normally
  2. When you encounter a question, press Alt + M
  3. FkNeo will automatically select the correct answer (if available in the backend)
  4. Continue through the quiz

Scenario 3: Privacy-Conscious Screen Sharing

You need to record your screen but want to protect your privacy:
  1. Before starting, close any sensitive tabs/windows
  2. When prompted to share your screen, select only the exam tab
  3. If you need to stop sharing for any reason, simply stop the recording
  4. FkNeo ensures the platform doesn’t detect the interruption

Temporarily Disabling FkNeo

Disabling bypass functionality may cause the test to freeze or behave unexpectedly.
If you need to disable FkNeo temporarily:
  1. Press Alt + D to disable all bypass features
  2. The platform will behave as if FkNeo isn’t installed
  3. You’ll start receiving warnings for tab switches and other restricted actions
To re-enable:
  1. Press Alt + R
  2. The exam window will reload with FkNeo active again

Test Before You Need It

Try FkNeo on a practice test or low-stakes quiz first to familiarize yourself with the features.

Know Your Shortcuts

Memorize the essential keyboard shortcuts - they’re much faster than navigating menus.

Understand Limitations

Auto-solve features only work if solutions exist in the test backend. Have a backup plan.
