Installation Issues

Extension Not Loading

Problem: Extension fails to load in Chrome/Edge/BraveSolution:
  1. Navigate to chrome://extensions (or your browser’s equivalent)
  2. Enable Developer mode from the top right corner
  3. Click Load unpacked and select the extracted extension folder
Problem: Can’t find the extension folder or files are missingSolution:
  1. Download the latest release from GitHub Releases
  2. Extract the ZIP file completely to a dedicated folder
  3. Make sure all files are extracted before loading

Functionality Issues

Keyboard Shortcuts Not Working

Important: FkNeo relies on the test backend system. If the teacher has not uploaded solutions to the backend, keyboard shortcuts for auto-solving will not work.
Possible Solutions:
  1. Verify the backend has solutions
    • The extension can only access what’s available in the test system
    • If solutions aren’t uploaded, features like Auto MCQ solver won’t function
  2. Check if bypass is enabled
    • Press Alt + R to re-enable bypass functionality
    • The page will reload automatically
  3. Verify extension is active
    • Go to chrome://extensions
    • Ensure FkNeo is enabled (toggle should be ON)

Screen Recording Issues

Problem: Platform still requires full screen recordingSolution:
  • Use Alt + D to disable bypass, then Alt + R to re-enable
  • Select a specific tab or window when prompted for screen sharing
  • The extension allows you to choose what to share instead of forcing entire screen

Tab/Window Switching Warnings

Problem: Still receiving warnings about tab switchingSolution:
  • Verify bypass is enabled (press Alt + R)
  • If you disabled bypass with Alt + D, you’ll get warnings until you re-enable
  • Once bypass is disabled, all platform restrictions are re-enabled

License Issues

License Not Activating

Check activation status

Verify that you’ve completed the license grant form after purchasing

License activation can take up to 2 business days

If it’s been longer than 2 business days, reach out:

Trial Period Expired

The free trial is only available for a few days after each new release. Once expired, you must purchase a license to continue using FkNeo.
Solution: Purchase a license through the Licensing process.

Platform-Specific Issues

IP Address/OS Spoofing Not Working

Shortcuts to use BEFORE starting the test:
  • Shift + P: Set custom IP address
  • Shift + O: Spoof OS to Linux
  • Shift + A: Bypass access code
These features must be activated before starting the test. They won’t work if activated after the test has begun.

Extension Freezing or Test Freezing

Problem: Test may freeze when pressing Alt + DSolution:
  • This is expected behavior when disabling bypass mid-test
  • Press Alt + R to re-enable and reload the test window
  • Try to avoid toggling bypass during active test sessions

FkNeo works on Chromium-based browsers:
  • Google Chrome
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Brave Browser
  • Opera
  • Any other Chromium-based browser

Not Working on Firefox

FkNeo is designed for Chromium-based browsers. If you’re using Firefox, switch to Chrome, Edge, Brave, or Opera for compatibility.
