PLV stands for Publicidad en el Lugar de Venta — point-of-sale advertising. These are the physical structures and graphic elements that brands use to stand out in retail environments, trade shows, lobbies, and public spaces. At Reprodisseny, we produce custom displays that combine structural design, printing, and finishing into a single deliverable.

Typical products

  • Totems and floor-standing displays: Freestanding structures with printed panels
  • Countertop displays: Small-footprint displays for checkout counters and reception desks
  • Hanging signs and ceiling mobiles: Suspended graphics for overhead visibility
  • Shelf strips and wobblers: Narrow printed strips that attach to retail shelving
  • Standees and life-size cutouts: Die-cut figures and freestanding props
  • Promotional boxes and dump bins: Branded retail containers for product placement
  • Display card and easel-back cards: Tabletop displays with self-supporting backs

From design to production

1

Brief and structural concept

Share your project requirements: product to be displayed, location (indoor/outdoor), available footprint, and any brand guidelines. Our team reviews the brief and proposes structural options and materials.
2

Structural dieline and visual layout

We produce the structural dieline (cutting pattern) and apply your artwork to a 3D mockup for approval. This is the stage to validate dimensions, panel layout, and visual hierarchy before production.
3

Pre-press and color validation

Your artwork is adapted to the confirmed dieline. We run a pre-press check for color mode (CMYK), resolution, bleed, and font embedding. If needed, we produce a physical proof for color-critical projects.
4

Production: printing and cutting

Panels are printed on the appropriate substrate and cut to shape using our Kongsberg digital cutting table. Any lamination, varnish, or surface treatment is applied at this stage.
5

Assembly and finishing

Display elements are assembled, folded, or kitted as required. Mechanical parts (feet, standoffs, connectors) are sourced and integrated if the structure requires them.
6

Delivery or pickup

Finished displays are packed for delivery or available for collection at our Juan de Mena production center in Barcelona.

File requirements

For PLV and display work, always provide a structural dieline alongside your artwork. If you don’t have one, our team can create it as part of the project scope.
  • Color mode: CMYK
  • Format: PDF with bleed and crop marks
  • Bleed: 3mm minimum on all edges (more if the material has tolerance)
  • Resolution: 150–300 ppi depending on viewing distance
  • Fonts: Convert to outlines
  • Dieline: Provide on a separate layer in the same PDF, or as an AI/EPS file
