Inks and environmental safety
All vinyl printing at Reprodisseny uses HP latex inks on HP latex plotters. Latex inks are water-based — they do not contain hazardous solvents and emit no harmful VOCs (volatile organic compounds). This makes them:- Safe for installation in hospitals, schools, childcare facilities, and food environments
- Compliant with indoor air quality standards
- Suitable for graphics that come into contact with non-food surfaces
- Scratch-resistant and UV-stable for outdoor applications
If your installation is in a regulated environment (healthcare, food service), confirm material requirements with our team. We can specify vinyl and laminate combinations that meet the required standards.

File preparation for vinyls
For best results, submit vector files for any vinyl that will be cut to shape. For printed vinyls, high-resolution raster files are accepted.- Preferred formats: PDF (with outlines), AI, EPS for vector work
- Color mode: CMYK — avoid RGB, as screen colors will shift on print
- Resolution: 100–150 ppi at final print size for large-format vinyls; 300 ppi for small-format and labels
- Cut paths: Provide the cut contour on a clearly labeled separate layer
- Dimensions: Always specify the exact final size of the installed graphic, including any overlap or bleed onto adjacent surfaces
- Bleed: 5–10mm around the cut line for printed vinyls
