Connect your phone

Connect your Android device to your car via USB or wireless Android Auto

On your car’s display, tap the Android Auto icon and select Musika from the media apps

Browse your library or use voice commands to start playing music

Voice Commands

Use Google Assistant with Android Auto:
  • “Play music on Musika”
  • “Play [artist name] on Musika”
  • “Play [song name] on Musika”
  • “Next song”
  • “Pause music”
  • “Resume music”
Android Auto requires Android 8.0 or higher and the Android Auto app on your phone.

Musika supports Android TV with a leanback interface optimized for large screens and remote control navigation.

Last.fm Scrobbling

Connect your Last.fm account to automatically track your listening history and discover music based on your taste.

What is Scrobbling?

Scrobbling automatically logs every song you listen to in Musika to your Last.fm profile, helping you:
  • Track your listening habits over time
  • Discover similar artists and recommendations
  • Share your music taste with friends
  • Generate personalized statistics

Configure scrobbling

Adjust scrobble settings:
  • Set scrobble percentage threshold (default: 50%)
  • Set minimum duration for scrobbling
  • Enable/disable Now Playing updates

Scrobbling Settings

Scrobble Threshold
Set when a song should be scrobbled:
  • By Percentage: Scrobble after listening to X% of the song (default: 50%)
  • By Time: Scrobble after X minutes of playback
Minimum Duration
Only scrobble songs longer than a specified duration (prevents short tracks/interludes from being logged)
Now Playing
Update your Last.fm “Now Playing” status in real-time as songs change
Scrobble Delay
Wait before submitting scrobbles (useful if you skip songs frequently)
Last.fm scrobbling requires an active Last.fm account. Create one free at last.fm.

Troubleshooting Last.fm

If your songs aren’t appearing on Last.fm:
  1. Verify you’re logged in to Last.fm in Musika
  2. Check internet connection (scrobbles require network)
  3. Ensure songs meet minimum duration threshold
  4. Check scrobble percentage setting isn’t too high
  5. Review Last.fm service status
If songs are scrobbling multiple times:
  1. Disable scrobbling in other music apps
  2. Check scrobble delay settings
  3. Ensure you’re not running multiple instances of Musika

Bluetooth Devices

Musika provides enhanced support for Bluetooth audio devices:
