Editing Playlists

Managing Content

Multiple Ways to Add:
  • From Now Playing screen: Tap menu > Add to Playlist
  • From search results: Long-press track > Add to Playlist
  • From albums: Select tracks > Add to Playlist
  • Drag and drop from library
Bulk Adding:
  • Select multiple tracks at once
  • Add entire albums to playlists
  • Import from other playlists
Remove Individual Tracks:
  • Swipe left on track (if enabled)
  • Long-press > Remove from Playlist
  • Edit mode > Select > Delete
Bulk Removal:
  • Enter edit mode
  • Select multiple tracks
  • Tap Delete button
Manual Reordering:
  • Long-press and drag tracks to new positions
  • Use move handles in edit mode
  • Cut/paste tracks to different positions
Auto-Sorting:
  • Sort by title, artist, or album
  • Sort by date added
  • Sort by play count or rating
  • Shuffle playlist order

Playlist Metadata

Customize playlist information:
  • Name: Edit playlist title
  • Description: Add detailed description
  • Artwork: Set custom cover image from:
    • Device photos
    • Album art from tracks
    • Default generated artwork
  • Privacy: Set public or private (YouTube Music playlists)

Changes made to synced playlists in either Musika or YouTube Music will be reflected in both apps after the next sync.

Troubleshooting

Playlists Not Syncing:

Missing Tracks After Sync:
  • Tracks may not be available in YouTube Music
  • Check for region restrictions
  • Verify tracks weren’t removed from YouTube Music
  • Try re-adding the missing tracks
Playlist Won’t Play:
  • Verify tracks are available
  • Check internet connection for non-downloaded content
  • Try removing and re-adding problematic tracks

Songs Skipping:
