Account settings let you customize your personal Twenty experience, manage your profile, and configure security options.

Accessing account settings

To access your account settings:
  1. Click on your avatar in the bottom left corner
  2. Select Settings from the menu
  3. Click on Account in the settings sidebar

Profile information

Update your personal information:

Basic details

  • Name: Your display name shown to other users
  • Email: Your email address (used for login and notifications)
  • Avatar: Profile picture displayed throughout Twenty
  • Job title: Your role in the organization
  • Phone: Your contact phone number

Click edit profile

In the Account settings, click Edit Profile.

Update your information

Make changes to any of the fields.

Upload avatar

Click on your avatar to upload a new profile picture (JPG, PNG, or GIF up to 5MB).

Save changes

Click Save to apply your updates.

Security settings

Protect your account with these security features:

Password

Change your password regularly:
  1. Go to Account → Security
  2. Click Change Password
  3. Enter your current password
  4. Enter and confirm your new password
  5. Click Update Password
Choose a strong password with at least 12 characters, including uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols.

Two-factor authentication

Add an extra layer of security:

Enable 2FA

In Security settings, click Enable Two-Factor Authentication.

Choose method

Select your preferred 2FA method:
  • Authenticator app (recommended): Use Google Authenticator, Authy, or similar
  • SMS: Receive codes via text message

Set up authentication

Follow the setup wizard:
  • For authenticator apps: Scan the QR code
  • For SMS: Verify your phone number

Save recovery codes

Store the recovery codes in a safe place. You’ll need these if you lose access to your 2FA device.
Authenticator apps are more secure than SMS because they work offline and are harder to intercept.

Active sessions

View and manage your active login sessions:
  • See all devices where you’re logged in
  • View session location and browser
  • Revoke access from specific devices
To sign out of all sessions except your current one, click Sign out everywhere.

Notification preferences

Customize how and when you receive notifications:

Notification channels

  • In-app: Notifications within Twenty (bell icon)
  • Email: Notification emails sent to your inbox
  • Browser: Push notifications in your web browser

Notification types

Configure notifications for:
  • Tasks assigned to you
  • Comments on your records
  • @mentions in notes
  • Reminders for upcoming tasks

Email digest

Receive a summary of notifications:
  • Frequency: Daily, weekly, or never
  • Time: Choose what time to receive the digest
  • Content: Select which notification types to include

Language and region

Set your localization preferences:
  • Language: Choose your preferred language for the interface
  • Timezone: Set your timezone for accurate timestamps
  • Date format: Select how dates are displayed (MM/DD/YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY, etc.)
  • Time format: 12-hour or 24-hour time
  • First day of week: Sunday or Monday

Appearance

Customize the look of Twenty:
  • Theme: Light, dark, or system default
  • Density: Comfortable, compact, or spacious
  • Font size: Small, medium, or large
Appearance settings are saved per device, so you can use different themes on different computers.

Keyboard shortcuts

View and customize keyboard shortcuts:
  1. Go to Account → Shortcuts
  2. See the list of available shortcuts
  3. Click on any shortcut to customize it
  4. Press Reset to defaults to restore original shortcuts
Common shortcuts:
  • Cmd/Ctrl + K: Open command menu
  • Cmd/Ctrl + /: Show keyboard shortcuts
  • N: Create new record
  • G then H: Go home

API tokens

Generate personal API tokens for integrations:

Navigate to API tokens

Go to Account → API Tokens.

Create new token

Click Generate New Token.

Name your token

Give it a descriptive name (e.g., “My integration script”).

Set permissions

Choose what the token can access (read-only or read-write).

Copy token

Copy the token immediately - you won’t be able to see it again.
Treat API tokens like passwords. Don’t share them or commit them to version control.

Connected accounts

Manage your connected email and calendar accounts:
  • Email accounts: Gmail, Outlook
  • Calendar accounts: Google Calendar, Microsoft Calendar

Delete account

If you need to delete your Twenty account:
Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be removed.

Go to account settings

Navigate to Account → Danger Zone.

Click delete account

Click the Delete Account button.

Confirm deletion

Type your password to confirm.

Final confirmation

Type “DELETE” to proceed with account deletion.
Before deleting your account, consider:
  • Exporting your data
  • Transferring record ownership to another user
  • Leaving workspaces you’re a member of
