Overview

The Career Trajectory section captures your complete work history. The specific information required differs significantly between Permanencia (existing employees) and Nuevo Ingreso (new hires).
This section has DIFFERENT forms based on your evaluation type. Make sure you understand which version applies to you.

Evaluation Type Differences

Permanencia

For existing employees:
  • Current position details
  • Work history within CEACC/government
  • Multiple assignments/adscripciones
  • Legal and disciplinary history
  • Family in law enforcement

Nuevo Ingreso

For new hires:
  • Desired position details
  • Previous private employment history
  • Multiple past jobs
  • How you learned about the position
  • Legal and disciplinary history

Accessing Career Trajectory Form

From your evaluation dashboard, click on Career Trajectory (Trayectoria Laboral). You’ll be directed to:
/captureData/trayectoriaCapture/[encrypted_evaluation_id]
The system automatically detects your evaluation type and shows the appropriate form.

Part A: Permanencia (Existing Employees)

This section applies if your evaluation type is Permanencia (tipoEvalID = 1).

Before You Begin

Gather information about:
  • Your current position and department
  • Employment start date
  • Supervisor information
  • Previous assignments within the organization
  • Any legal proceedings or disciplinary actions
  • Family members in law enforcement

Current Position Information

Dependencia (trayectoriaDependencia)

Add Previous Assignments (Adscripciones)

After saving, add your work history within the organization.For each previous assignment:Nombre (adscripcionNombre)

This section applies if your evaluation type is Nuevo Ingreso (tipoEvalID = 2).

Add Previous Employment History

Unlike Permanencia, Nuevo Ingreso requires listing previous private sector or other employment.For each previous job:Empresa (empleoEmpresa)

Managing Career Trajectory Data

Updating Your Information

Permanencia:
  • Click update on the main form
  • Make changes
  • Save
  • Success message: “Se actualizaron datos laborales”
Nuevo Ingreso:
  • Click update on the main form
  • Make changes
  • Save
  • Success message: “Se actualizó trayectoria laboral NI!”

Deleting Entries

Delete a Previous Job (Nuevo Ingreso):
  • Click delete next to the employment entry
  • Confirm
  • Success message: “Se elimino empleo”
Delete All Career Trajectory Data:
  • From evaluation dashboard, delete the entire section
  • Success message: “Datos trayectoria eliminados”
  • This removes: main data, all assignments/jobs, family in legal proceedings, family in law enforcement
Deleting the entire section removes ALL career information including sub-sections. This cannot be undone.

Best Practices

For Permanencia Employees

  • Include all positions since you started
  • List in chronological order (oldest first or newest first - be consistent)
  • Include temporary assignments if they lasted more than a few months
  • Explain gaps in employment
  • Use your immediate supervisor (not skip-level)
  • Verify phone numbers are current
  • If supervisor has changed recently, use current supervisor
  • Be completely honest
  • If you were cleared, emphasize that
  • Provide context but don’t make excuses
  • Have documentation ready

For Nuevo Ingreso Candidates

  • List jobs in reverse chronological order (most recent first)
  • Include at least the last 5 years of employment
  • If you’ve never worked, explain (student, recent graduate, etc.)
  • Include part-time or informal work if significant
  • Research the position thoroughly before answering
  • Be realistic about duties (include difficult aspects)
  • Show you understand the responsibilities
  • Mention serving the community
  • Be truthful about how you found out
  • If recommended by someone, mention who
  • Internal recommendations can be positive if disclosed

Universal Tips

  1. Legal Issues: Always disclose. Background checks will find them anyway.
  2. C3 History: If you’ve never had a C3, enter “Ninguno” or “N/A”
  3. Family in Law Enforcement: This is for disclosure, not a negative factor
  4. Be Thorough: This section is critical for background investigation

Section Completion

The Career Trajectory section is complete when: Permanencia:
  • Main career information saved
  • At least one previous assignment added (if you’ve had any)
  • Legal/disciplinary questions answered
  • C3 history provided
Nuevo Ingreso:
  • Main information saved (position, how you learned about it, functions)
  • Previous employment history added (at least 1-2 jobs if you have work experience)
  • Legal/disciplinary questions answered
  • C3 history provided

What Happens Next

After completing Career Trajectory:
  1. Your evaluation progress increases to approximately 66.67% (4 of 6 sections)
  2. Return to your evaluation dashboard
  3. Career Trajectory shows as complete ✓
  4. Proceed to: Economic Data

Troubleshooting

Which form should I see?

Problem: Not sure if I’m seeing the right form. Solution: Check your evaluation type from your profile or dashboard. The system should automatically load the correct form.

Can’t add multiple jobs/assignments

Problem: Only one job saved, others disappear. Solution: Click save after EACH entry. Don’t try to enter multiple at once without saving. Problem: Don’t understand the difference between the questions. Solution:
  • Acusaciones: Were you accused of a crime?
  • Procesos: Were you in a legal proceeding (civil or criminal)?
  • Sanciones: Were you formally sanctioned at work?
  • Procedimientos: Were administrative proceedings opened against you?
  • Quejas: Did citizens file complaints about you?
When in doubt, answer “Yes” and explain in the details.
