Cabina is an AI-powered photo booth that transforms your selfies into stunning, professionally styled images. Whether you’re at an event or using the platform independently, this guide will help you get started.

Accessing Cabina

There are two main ways to access Cabina:

At an Event

If you’re at an event using Cabina:

Scan the QR Code

Look for the QR code displayed at the event venue (usually on tables or at the photo booth station).

Access the Event Portal

Scanning the QR code will take you directly to the event’s custom Cabina interface at app.metalabia.com/?event=[event-slug].

View Event Branding

You’ll see the event’s custom logo, colors, and welcome message configured by the event organizer.

Independent Access

For personal use outside of events:

Visit the Platform

Navigate to app.metalabia.com in your mobile browser.

Sign In

Create an account or sign in using your email address.

Purchase Credits

Before generating photos, you’ll need to purchase credits. See Purchasing Credits for details.

Understanding Your Interface

Once you’re logged in, you’ll see:
  • Credits Display: Shows your available credits in the top-right corner
  • Style Selector: Browse available AI style packs to transform your photos
  • Camera Interface: Access your device camera to capture or upload photos
  • Gallery Access: View and download your previously generated images

Your First Photo Generation

Select a Style

Browse the style cards and tap one to select it. Selected styles show an orange accent border and display “ACTIVO” (Active).Style indicators:
  • Premium styles show a gold “Premium” badge
  • Popular styles display usage count badges
  • Top 5 trending styles have a sparkle animation

Take or Upload a Photo

  • Tap the camera icon to take a new selfie
  • Or upload an existing photo from your device
Best practices:
  • Ensure good lighting
  • Face the camera directly
  • Avoid wearing accessories that cover your face

Generate Your Image

Tap the generate button. The AI will process your photo (this takes 30-60 seconds).

View and Download

Once complete, your transformed photo will appear. You can:
  • Download it to your device
  • Share it directly
  • View it in your gallery

Understanding Credit Costs

Each photo generation consumes credits:
  • Standard Styles: Varies per style (check the style card)
  • Premium Styles: Higher credit cost, indicated with sparkle badges
  • Event Access: If you’re at an event, the organizer provides the credits
At events, you don’t need to worry about credits—they’re provided by the event organizer. Just generate as many photos as you’d like!
  • Back Button (ChevronLeft icon): Returns to previous screen
  • Settings Icon (User icon): Access your profile and credit balance
  • Gallery Icon (Image icon): View all your generated photos
  • Refresh Button: Reload styles or update your gallery

Troubleshooting

  • Ensure you have sufficient credits
  • Check that your photo shows your face clearly
  • Try a different photo with better lighting
  • Refresh the page and try again
  • Refresh the page
  • Check your internet connection
  • If at an event, ensure the event is active
  • Contact the event organizer if styles seem limited
Event organizers can customize the look with their own logos, colors, and welcome messages. This is normal!
