How Equipment Interacts with Spell Power

Your total spell power for a school is calculated by combining all bonuses:
Total Spell Power = Base + Weapon Bonus + Armor Bonuses
```java
### Example Build: Water Wizard
<Steps>
  <Step title="Equip Netherite Aqua Staff">
    +7 Water Spell Power
  </Step>
  <Step title="Equip Full Netherite Kelp Armor">
    +120% Water Spell Power (30% × 4 pieces)
  </Step>
  <Step title="Equip Aqua Spell Book">
    Access to all Water spells
  </Step>
  <Step title="Calculate Hydro Beam Damage">
    - Base Spell Power: 7
    - With Armor: 7 × 2.2 = 15.4
    - Hydro Beam (1.1 coefficient): 15.4 × 1.1 = **16.94 damage**
  </Step>
</Steps>
### Example Build: Critical Air Wizard
<Steps>
  <Step title="Equip Netherite Wind Staff">
    +7 Air Spell Power
  </Step>
  <Step title="Equip Full Hurricane Robe">
    - +140% Air Spell Power (35% × 4 pieces)
    - +32% Critical Damage (8% × 4 pieces)
  </Step>
  <Step title="Calculate Critical Tornado Damage">
    - Base: 7 × 2.4 = 16.8 Air Power
    - Tornado (0.55 coefficient): 16.8 × 0.55 = 9.24 damage
    - On Critical: 9.24 × 1.32 = **12.2 damage**
  </Step>
</Steps>
<Tip>
  Secondary stats (Haste, Crit Chance, Crit Damage) multiply your effectiveness beyond raw spell power!
</Tip>
## Special Equipment Properties
### Equipment Set Passives
Epic tier armor sets (Ocean, Mountain, Hurricane) have unique passive effects:
```java
// From Armors.java:363-365
public static Identifier hurricane_passive = Identifier.of(MOD_ID, "hurricane");
public static Identifier mountain_passive = Identifier.of(MOD_ID, "mountain");
public static Identifier ocean_passive = Identifier.of(MOD_ID, "ocean");
```java
<Warning>
  The specific effects of these passives are configured separately. Check your mod's config files for details.
</Warning>
### Rarity and Item Settings
All armor pieces use standardized settings (from `Armors.java:138-140`):
```java
itemSettings
  .component(SpellDataComponents.EQUIPMENT_SET, equipmentSetId)
  .component(DataComponentTypes.RARITY, Rarity.RARE);
```java
All wizard equipment is marked as **Rare** quality.
## Elemental Essence
A special crafting material used in various recipes:
```java
// From ElementalItems.java:34
public static final Item ELEMENTAL_ESSENCE = registerItem("elemental_essence", new Item(...));
```java
Registry ID: `elemental_wizards_rpg:elemental_essence`
<Info>
