Spell books are essential items in Elemental Wizards RPG that allow you to learn and use elemental magic. There are three elemental spell books, each corresponding to a different school of magic.

Available Spell Books

Elemental Wizards RPG features three spell books (Tomes) for the primary elemental schools:
  1. Tome of Water (Aqua Spell Book)
  2. Tome of Earth (Terra Spell Book)
  3. Tome of Air (Wind Spell Book)
Each spell book teaches you the spells associated with that elemental school and allows you to use them with the appropriate equipment.

Tome of Water (Aqua Spell Book)

The Tome of Water unlocks access to water-based spells, including healing, frost attacks, and water manipulation.

## Tome of Earth (Terra Spell Book)

The Tome of Earth grants knowledge of earth magic, including stone manipulation, defensive abilities, and earth-based attacks.

The Tome of Air teaches air and wind magic, featuring mobility spells, wind attacks, and aerial combat abilities.

## How to Use Spell Books

1. **Craft the Spell Book**: Follow the recipes above to create your desired spell book
2. **Open Your Inventory**: Right-click or press 'E' to open your inventory
3. **Use the Spell Book**: Right-click on the spell book in your inventory
4. **Learn Spells**: The spell book will teach you all spells associated with that element
5. **Equip a Weapon**: Equip a wand or staff that matches your elemental school
6. **Cast Spells**: Use your weapon to cast the learned spells

Once you use a spell book, you permanently learn the spells for that element. You don't need to keep the book in your inventory.

### Material Commonality

All spell books require:
- **Book** (common - craftable)
- **Lapis Lazuli** (common - found while mining)

The unique materials determine the difficulty:
- **Easiest**: Aqua (Kelp is easily farmed)
- **Medium**: Wind (Requires Trial Chamber exploration)
- **Hardest**: Terra (Requires obsidian mining and dripstone caves)

## Multi-Element Builds

You can learn multiple spell books to create hybrid elemental builds:

- **All Three Books**: Complete elemental mastery
- **Water + Earth**: Defensive and healing synergy
- **Air + Water**: Mobility and control combination
- **Earth + Air**: Damage and critical strike focus

## Tips for Early Game

1. **Start with Aqua**: Water spell book materials are easier to obtain if you've already explored an ocean monument
2. **Prepare for Terra**: Get a diamond pickaxe before attempting to craft the earth spell book
3. **Wind Requires 1.21+**: Wind Charges only exist in Minecraft 1.21 and later
4. **Farm Lapis**: You'll need lapis for all three books, so stock up while mining
5. **Keep Books Handy**: Always have spare books crafted for when you're ready to make spell books

## Registration Details

Spell books are registered using the Spell Engine API with the identifier pattern:
- `elemental_wizards_rpg:aqua_spell_book`
- `elemental_wizards_rpg:terra_spell_book`
- `elemental_wizards_rpg:wind_spell_book`

All spell books are assigned to the Elemental Wizard item group for easy access in creative mode.
