Attendance Percentage Calculation

Attendance % = (Completadas / Total) × 100

Example:
Maria Garcia
  Completadas: 22
  Total: 24
  Attendance: (22/24) × 100 = 91.7%
Cancelled classes don’t count against the student—they’re facility cancellations, not student absences.

Absence Types Explained

Student notified in advance they couldn’t attend:
  • Called ahead
  • Sent message
  • Gave reasonable notice
Impact: Minor—shows responsible behavior
Student didn’t show up and didn’t notify:
  • No-show
  • No communication
  • Unexplained absence
Impact: Concerning—may indicate engagement issues
Facility cancelled the class:
  • Weather
  • Holiday
  • Maintenance
  • Emergency
Impact: None on student—not their fault

Interpreting Attendance Data

Healthy Attendance Patterns

90-100% Attendance: Excellent engagement ✅ 80-89% Attendance: Good—occasional absences acceptable ⚠️ 70-79% Attendance: Moderate concern—check in with student 🔴 Below 70%: Action needed—potential retention risk

Red Flags

Watch for these patterns:
  • Multiple ASA (no-show) incidents
  • Declining attendance over time
  • Long gaps between classes
  • High ACA count (frequent cancellations)

- May exclude students with no classes

Medium Period (1 month)

Start: March 1
End: March 31

Shows:
- Monthly attendance patterns
- Full monthly plan usage
- Good for monthly reviews

Long Period (3+ months)

Start: January 1
End: March 31

Shows:
- Quarterly trends
- Seasonal patterns
- Long-term engagement

Students Without Classes

If a student has no classes in the selected period:
